BATTY'S GRAND NATIONAL HIPPODROME, Opposite the Broad Walk, Kensington gardens, WILL OPEN for the Season on WHIT-MONDAY, May 31, 1852, when an Ascent will be made in the Royal Hippodrome Balloon, by a celebrated aeronaut. Mr. B. in announcing his second Season, and gratefully remembering the liberal patronage bestowed upon past performances, begs leave to state that he has spared neither pains nor expense in selecting the best artists from the principle continental and foreign amphitheatres, to realise the spirit-stirring scenes and exciting contests of the Curiculum, for which the Romans were so famous; and to ensure a perfect production of the various scenes, the celebrated Henri Franconi, founder of the Parisian Hippodrome has been engaged, under whose superintendance, the numerous stud of trained Horses, Ponies, Stags, Ostriches, and Elephants, &c. will be introduced from time to time, forming the most complete tout-assemble of antique pastimes ever witnessed in England. A Splendid Brass Band will be in attendance. Admission:—Reserved Seats, 3s.; First Class, 2s.; Second ditto, 1s.; Third ditto, 6d.
